Lag-Kast is a fast drying, water activated cotton gauze coated with a polymer plaster, designed to repair and/or cover existing asbestos insulation on pipes, boilers and breeching. Once activated with water, Lag-Kast forms a hard durable covering around thermal insulation materials.
The result is a moisture resistant barrier preventing future fiber release. The 4 and 6 inch wide rolls were selected for ease of application over thermal pipe insulation. Lag-Kast is heat resistant for temperatures up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit.
After applying Lag-Kast, apply Lag-Kote or Lag-Kote II as the final step in the system.
