Powerstone is an excellent pretreatment when encapsulating lead-based paint on powdery concrete, concrete floors, charred wood, deteriorated stucco, aged transite, asbestos shingles, natural stone and masonry surfaces. In conjunction with washing, removal of loose material, and other methods of surface preparation, Powerstone Plus may be used to stabilize a surface before the application of L-B-C Lead Barrier Compound. |
| A clear, penetrating acrylic, Powerstone Plus has many diversified uses as a sealer, primer and damproofer for a variety of damaged and deteriorated surfaces encountered in any lead abatement project.
Powdery or dusty masonry surfaces that are to be top-coated with Fiberlock encapsulants, or
most water based paints paints can be sealed and prepared, without the use of acid etches, by applying a coat of Powerstone Plus.
Powerstone Plus bonds to previously applied chalky paints and provides a sound surface for repainting. Aged and/or deteriorated asbestos shingle siding, transite or stucco surfaces that can not be rendered clean and sound by washing must be sealed with Powerstone Plus before encapsulating lead-based paint with L-B-C Lead Barrier Compound.
Powerstone Plus makes an excellent sealant over unfinished brick, masonry block or concrete.
